As with every new year, resolutions are written down, vision boards are constructed and hope is reignited in our hearts for a prosperous new year. This year I decided to focus on adopting two habits: consistency and discipline.
Deciding on the two themes mentioned above wasn’t easy at all, I had to sit down and do some serious introspection, which ultimately led to me taking accountability for some of my actions and the unpleasant situations I found myself in. I strongly believe in my potential to reach great heights, however, reaching those heights has been restricted due to lack of discipline and consistency, and that is no one else’s fault but mine.
This year I plan to do things differently; I have 4 main goals I’d like to achieve and to get to that point I need to learn to be consistent from the beginning till the end. I need to be disciplined enough to know that even on bad days, the show must go on. Introspection is so vital for our everyday growth and success – without it, we lose focus and end up resenting ourselves for things that were actually in our control.
In 2019 we need to be honest with ourselves. We need to let go of things, people and habits that cause nothing but stagnation in our lives. We need to prioritize our dreams and aspirations and do what it takes to achieve them.
2019 is the year of planting, and I’ve already got my seeds of consistency and discipline waiting to be watered and nurtured in order to have a successful year.
